DURALABEL TEST LAB
Outdoor Label Weathering Tests
| In our most recent weathering tests, along with DuraLabel labels, we included the same type of label made by one of our competitors. Both ran through the same tests, mounted side-by-side on the same test platform. Here are the results. |
Here you see the condition of both labels before the test was started.
The Atlas Weathering Tester will be used to simulate outdoor weathering at an accelerated rate. |
An Atlas Weathering Tester simulates years of exposure to outdoor conditions in just weeks.
After 720 hours in the weathering tester two years of exposure to outdoor conditions has been simulated. As you can see, the red on the competitor's label is completely gone. In a real application this label would need to have been replaced in less than two years. |
This test was being run to test DuraLabel supplies that have a rated average outdoor life of three years.
As you can see the colors on the DuraLabel label are fine. Although rated at three years this label has many additional years of life left.

What about real-life?
Here is a photo of a label that has been in the desert sun for 4-1/2 years. There is no noticeable fading. It is just as effective in delivering its message as it was the day it was applied.
DuraLabel labels are the hardest working labels you can get. When used appropriately, they provide long life in a wide variety of environmental conditions. |
