The printer finishes
the label, feeds additional tape, then
stops with an error light.
The most likely cause of this problem is that
the printer sensor type is not set correctly.
The sensor type is set in the printer driver.
The DuraLabel can print two basic types of labels.
Labels made using continuous tape, and die cut
labels. When using die cut labels the DuraLabel
can automatically detect the gap between the labels
and cut the labels in this gap.
If you are printing on continuous tape, and the
sensor is set to the setting used for die cut
labels, the printer will try to detect the gap
between labels. But, there will not be any gap.
The result is that the label is not cut and the
printer tells you there is an error (the red light
on top of the DuraLabel printer comes on).
Make sure that when you configure the DuraLabel
printer driver (Quick Start Guide pages 4-10)
the sensor type is set to "continuous." You'll
find this in the "Advanced Settings" section
of the printer driver.
