Flash Label Database Software and Label Templates
In addition to working with commercially-available arc flash software, DuraLabel PRO printers also come with the unique Flash Label arc flash database software. Flash Label allows you to enter the appropriate data for each label and print using a standard format. The information is stored in a database, allowing you to track, organize, and modify existing arc flash labels with ease. Arc flash hazards can change any time an electrical system is modified, so the ability to easily and accurately update your labels can save you time and money.
We also provide a library of label templates and graphics for the DuraLabel PRO that can help create consistent, professional arc flash labels with a minimum of difficulty.
A third option for printing arc flash labels with the DuraLabel PRO is to use software you already know. DuraLabel printers are fully compatible with programs like Microsoft Word™ and Excel™, giving you convenience and flexibility in designing your labels.
NFPA Compliance Made Simple!
NFPA-70E is the current standard for protection from arc flashes. Currently, this standard requires that potential sources of an arc flash be clearly labeled. The 2009 edition of NFPA-70E will include additional requirements, specifying information that must appear on arc flash labels. Labels created using Flash Label software contain all the information needed for NFPA-70E compliance, including incident energy and required PPE.
