Arc Flash Labeling Software
Flash Label, a database module for printing arc flash labels, is included in the Industrial Labeling Suite (ILS).
The ILS includes our exclusive arc flash hazard database module called Flash Label. It is designed specifically
for making die-cut arc flash DANGER AND WARNING labels.
Just enter the proper information in the spaces provided
on the screen and print!
NFPA 70-NEC Section 110.16 does not specify the information that needs to be included on an arc flash label. It only requires the label
to state the existence of an arc flash hazard. It suggests that the party responsible for the label include
more information on the specific parameters of the hazard,
such as:
- Boundaries
- Flash Protection Boundary
- Limited Shock Approach Boundary
- Restricted shock approach boundary
- Prohibited Shock Approach Boundary
- PPE Required
- Available Short-Circuit Current
- Incident energy at 18" (in cal/cm2)
- Voltage Shock Hazard
The Flash Label module produces labels that provide all of the above information. It is printed in a clear, easy-to-read and consistent format. A bold header informs people about the hazard before they get close to the equipment.
Flash Label is database software that stores each label for future reference and use. New labels can be added at any time, and existing labels can be modified or deleted.
You can search for labels in the database by Equipment Name, Bus Name and Project.
Printing options save you time by providing a way to print individual labels or batches of labels.
The Flash Label module makes creating, printing and storing arc flash labels quick and easy. To create a label just fill-in-the-blanks. To print the label, just click on the "print" button. Each label is stored in a database. The database can be searched for a project, a bus, or specific equipment.
Although a DANGER label is shown on the screen capture shown above, the software can print either DANGER or WARNING labels, when used with DuraLabel PRO die-cut arc flash labels.
