Shrink Tube is an easy way
to mark and identify wires and cables. It provides a permanent label that tightly adheres to the wire, and provides clear identifying information using text, numbers and graphics.
Use a DuraLabel PRO series printer to print the required information on the
shrink tube. Then slip the shrink tube over the
end of a cable or wire. Use a heat gun to shrink the tube. The result is a tight fitting, permanent label. There are no adhesives that might fail or tags that can get pulled off.
Shrink tube comes standard in white, which is shown below.
It is also available in yellow but may require a minimum
purchase.
Shrink tube sizes are based on the
diameter of the open tube before shrinking.
When laying flat for printing, the shrink
tube will be approximately 1.5 times as
wide as it's open diameter.
Shrink tubes are made from polyolefin.
DuraLabel PRO shrink tubes are made from a very flexible, specially formulated
cross-linked polyolefin with a low recovery temperature, 3:1 shrink ratio,
thin wall, and high flame-retardance (VW-1)
Shrink tube supply comes in a 25 foot roll for printing
in the DuraLabel PRO.
