Self-adhesive vinyl is the most commonly used labeling material. DuraLabel 7000 supplies include a wide selection of self-adhesive vinyl that falls into three categories:
DuraLabel vinyl tapes are available in 4", 6" and 7" widths. The vinyl is industrial-strength 3.0 mil with a heavy-duty adhesive backing. Tapes are available in 30 stock colors, with additional special order colors available.
DuraLabel vinyl is weather and chemical resistant, and it won't fade in sunlight. It has an average outdoor life of six years compared with an industry standard of five years.
DuraLabel 7000 vinyl is designed for thermal transfer printing and provides a stable, permanent base that results in long-lasting signs and labels.
Two-color tapes have a white body with a color stripe across the top of the label. The color stripe is used for printing signal words such as DANGER or WARNING.
DuraLabel 7000 two-color vinyl is the same, tough vinyl used to make single-color vinyl. It is available with either a red stripe or an orange stripe; stripes are printed in various widths.
Two-color vinyl provides a number of advantages. It provides the flexibility to make wide two-color labels. It allows for the unattended, automated printing of two-color labels or signs in large quantities. And it provides for highly customized labels.
Not all ribbons and tapes are compatible. Some combinations offer much greater contrast and visibility than others.
