There are three kinds of ribbons: good, better and best. The good ones (wax ribbons) print well but are not resistant to smudging. The better ones (wax resin) are durable but won't hold up over long periods. And the best ones (pure resin ribbons) melt into the plastic supply for super durable permanent labels. DuraLabel pure resin ribbons are the only ribbons DuraLabel uses.
