Free Guide To 5S

Why would you want a guide to 5S? What is 5S?

5S is a system developed by Toyota as a part of their lean manufacturing system. What's great about 5S is that it is fairly simple in application, and it is easy and not very costly to implement. On the other hand the benefits can be significant.

5S is a system of cleaning up, getting organized and maintaining what has been accomplished. Sounds simple. Isn't this what we all do every day? The floors are swept at the end of every shift and we're cleaned up. What's special about 5S?

5S isn't just about cleaning up, it's a little more than that. It is a systematic approach to cleaning, sorting, organizing and maintaining everything in an organized condition. It is called 5S because there are five steps and "sweeping" (cleaning) is just the first step. But that first step is more than just sweeping. For example, in the 5S system machines should be kept clean. That means completely clean. The objective is to make it easy to spot maintenance issues, such as an oil leak, very early.

The best way to learn about 5S is to get our Introduction to 5S guide. It provides an overview of the 5S system, how it is implemented, and what the benefits are. The guide is free, and there is no obligation to purchase anything. You can order your free copy online here: Introduction to 5S

Labeling Pipe System Isn't Expensive with Special OSHA Package

Pipe marking is a pretty big deal in industrial facilities. Not only will the company get slapped with a hefty fine for not having any, but emergency situations can quickly get from bad to extremely, horribly bad. Valuable time can be wasted when emergency crews are trying to determine which way the flow is going and what feeds where and/or into what. An easy remedy to a lack of labels is the DuraLabel PRO OSHA and Pipe Marking package.

This DuraLabel package is a great deal because it provides everything you need to label an extensive pipe system at an affordable price. The package provides supplies of various sizes. This is great since not all pipes are the same diameter. This way, you won't be wasting material (read: "money") by putting 4" wide labels on small pipes. This package also comes complete with an assortment of different colored tapes. Color coding pipes isn't only a great way of keeping things organized, it also meets OSHA labeling regulations. Nothing is better than looking good while meeting regulations.

Special DuraLabel Pipe Marking Labeling Package

If you are observant of your surroundings, you would probably take notice that the vast majority of pipes in a facility or building are labeled. These labels aren't failed attempts to cover up unsightly piping, nor were they meant to liven up the area with a little color or decoration. These labels are necessary. They are necessary because of the rules and regulations set forth by the ANSI/ASME A13.1 - 2007 standard.

Pipe labeling plays an important role in creating a safe work place. Proper labeling can prevent injuries and damage by safeguarding against mistakes such as turning valves on or disconnecting pipes at the wrong time or place. DuraLabel offers a Pipe Marking Labeling package that will provide you with the necessary equipment and supplies. The package includes a DuraLabel printer and supplies that come in various sizes and colors.

However, it isn't possible to fully describe the danger and potential disaster of an arc flash as well as the possible solutions in a single blog entry. That's why we'll do it in two. High Quality, Low Price = DuraLabel Supplies

Whenever people make their purchase, they consider several factors. Two of which include the quality of the product and the price of the product. Generally, these factors coincide with each other; as quality goes up, price usually goes up as well. Although this trend happens frequently, it doesn't necessarily mean high quality will equal high price. For example, DuraLabel supplies are of a high caliber without a hefty price tag that usually accompanies such products of impressive degree.

DuraLabel supplies such as the line of vinyl is made with the highest regard for customer satisfaction. They are industrial strength, professional grade, and come in a wide selection of colors to anticipate a customer's needs. They are treated to resist assorted chemicals, moisture, light, and wide range in temperature allowing labels up to seven years of service. This makes DuraLabel vinyl perfect for outside environments as well as manufacturing, production, and utility industries.

A steep price may be expected with specifications like these, but that isn't the case. DuraLabel develops and sells its own supplies, offering customers the chance to purchase directly from the manufacturer. This method allows customers to save up to 50% in labeling costs.

    DuraLabel Free Samples

If you were to look up a particular product, service or need online, countless websites will come up. All these websites will claim that their product or service will fulfill your needs and is exactly what you want. But how do you know that these websites can back up their claims? You don't. But this isn't something you have to worry about when it comes to DuraLabel products.

If you arrive at the Graphic Products, DuraLabel, and DuraLabel PRO websites, you can be rest assured that these websites aren't just spouting claims they can't back up. FREE Sample Labels

The DuraLabel 4TTP is a high quality, direct thermal label printer. It prints at a resolution of 300 dpi, which produces sharp, clear text, graphics and bar codes. This is all very nice to know, but actions always speak louder than words. What sounds good on paper, may not be so good in real life.

We recommend that you take a "real life" look at the quality labels produced by the DuraLabel 4TTP. Find out for yourself instead of just looking at the specifications. You can request a set of DuraLabel sample labels and they'll be sent ASAP--usually within one working day. If you have a specific labeling application, call 1-800-788-5572 and talk with one of the labeling specialists. They'll be glad to help you determine which label printers can meet your requirements, whether it is the DuraLabel or another brand.
