DuraLabel PRO vs Brady MiniMark
Desktop label and sign printers are very popular in facilities that have a variety of labeling tasks to complete. Many desktop labelers are industrial labelers that create professional looking labels. The DuraLabel PRO and the Brady MiniMark are both desktop labelers. However, they share a few differences that may influence the ease of use and how fast a labeling project can be completed. SOFTWAREBoth the DuraLabel PRO and the Brady MiniMark are not stand-alone printers. They function by connecting to computer with a Windows operating system. The difference in this set up, is that other than installing printer drivers, the DuraLabel PRO does not require any other software installation to run. (However, there are optional arc flash and chemical databases you can install from a free software CD included in your purchase.) After installing the driver, you can begin using a word processing program such as Microsoft Word or Open Office to create your labels. The Brady MiniMark on the other hand, requires the installation of Markware. This means you will have to learn and master completely new programs before you can make a label that compliant with the many standards out there. MOBILITYWith an addition of the optional slim and light battery, the DuraLabel PRO can go on field trips with you. This gives you freedom in creating labels on the spot anytime and anywhere you need them. All it takes is a laptop and the DuraLabel battery for the DuraLabel PRO to work. The Brady MiniMark can be connected to a laptop as well, of course. However, it does not have the same freedom the DuraLabel posses because of its lack of battery. It requires an outlet which isn't easily reached. SUPPLIESThe DuraLabel PRO has access to many different types of supplies. The DuraLabel caters to specialty labeling such as low-light labeling, wire markers, shrink tube, etc. Also, DuraLabel supplies have an average outdoor life of seven years, two years more than other labeling materials on the market. Finally, you can print all these supplies at a rate of 5 inches per second versus the Brady MiniMark's print speed topping off at 3 inches per second. These are only a couple features that gives the DuraLabel PRO an edge over the Brady MiniMark. But these additional features might be exactly what you need in your facility. Fast Shipping
In today’s fast-paced business world, it seems as though everything should be done 15 minutes ago. Ideally, people get things done before you need it done. This is especially true for venders and suppliers. No one appreciates having to wait for someone else. Time traveling is currently known to be impossible in all regards. However, the people at Lettering Machines can do the next best thing after reversing time: right away. Rather than twiddle their thumbs and waiting days or even weeks to carry out an order, these people immediately pack up an order and send it out. This is only possible because of the immense inventory that they have at their disposal. Their warehouse is across the street and is packed with labeling machines, including the industry-standard, DuraLabel 4TTP and the supplies that go along with them. They plan for every possible labeling task and will have whatever it is that you need. It doesn’t matter who or where they are shipping. The moment an order is filled out, it’s already packaged and on the way to the shipping bay. Should you want to see your order even faster, there is always two-day or next day delivery. If need be, you can potentially receive their order and start their labeling tasks in the morning of the next day. But first, you need to place an order. The Brady MiniMark is designed to be an entry level label printer, and as shown above that's exactly what it is. It's capabilities and supplies allow it to perform a few entry level types of labeling tasks. If you know what types of labeling you'll need for the next five or ten years, and they involve only basic labeling requirements, then an entry level machine like the Brady MiniMark may meet your requirements... and you can save a couple of hundred dollars on the cost of the machine. If you need an labeler that's more than an entry level machine, and that can handle a much wider variety of labeling tasks for both your present and future labeling needs, then the DuraLabel 4TTP is the option to select. Brady MiniMark vs The DuraLabel 4TTP
Brady has come out with a new machine that is similar to the DuraLabel 4TTP--the Brady MiniMark--but there are some important differences. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so we thank Brady for recognizing that with the DuraLabel 4TTP we have created a labeling machine that meets the needs of business, industry, government, the military and major non-profit agencies. It's nice to see that Brady has now recognized what we saw four years ago... that Brady label printers were expensive, supplies were expensive, and the machines were not serving the needs of industry, business, government, the military and non-profits. The DuraLabel 4TTP has changed all of that. The DuraLabel 4TTP has introduced industrial quality, economical labeling supplies that will save you up to 40% when compared with traditional Brady label printers. The DuraLabel 4TTP has introduced a quality label printer that is economical. It saves you money be eliminating components you already have on your desktop such as the keyboard, memory and monitor. By using your PC, and treating a label printer just like any other printer connected to your PC, you pocket the savings. The DuraLabel 4TTP saves you money because it does not require special software. You can create the labels and signs you need using software you already have, such as Microsoft Word or Excel. What we never understood was why there needed to be a specialized, expensive machine to print labels. It just did not make sense. There was no reason why a label printer could not be like any other printer connected to your PC. So we created the DuraLabel 4TTP, and its associated templates and software, and businesses such as yours started saving money without sacrificing quality. We invite you to try a DuraLabel 4TTP today. Give us a call at 1-800-788-5572 and talk with one of our highly knowledgeable and friendly customer service representatives. You'll be glad you did. P.S. As you can see from our previous post, we sell both the Brady MiniMark and the DuraLabel 4TTP. When you call us we are the only dealer that offers both options. Give us a call today and see for yorself what a great value the DuraLabel 4TTP label printer truly is when compared with the Brady MiniMark. Labels: Brady Labelers
